What is the Community Book Room?
Global Samaritan Resources hosts a Community Book Room with thousands of books! We believe that books have the power to educate and open new worlds, connect individuals and bring joy to the soul. We also believe that we have something for every reader!
Locally, the Community Book Room provides opportunities for children, families, teachers, foster care organizations, the elderly and the most avid readers to acquire good quality used books for FREE! On average, Global Samaritan Resources distributes between 2,000 and 3,000 books each month to our guests.

When is the Community Book Room open?
During the school year, our Community Book Room is open on the 1st Wednesday of each month. In the summer, the Community Book Room switches to a weekly event.

How can I donate books to the Community Book Room?
We are always in need of more books. Especially KIDS BOOKS!
To make donating books more convenient, we have placed Book Donation Drop Boxes around Abilene. You can easily donate books any day at one of these locations:
