Because of our logistics expertise,
we are often at the center of
coordinated disaster relief efforts
​ when collecting supplies and materials.

We coordinate response with local/state/international agencies and organizations to collect and distribute items to help mitigate disasters such as floods, wildfires and tornadoes. We obtain real-time resource requirements from incident management and provide a process to receive and distribute goods. This process includes, collecting, sorting, inventorying, boxing/palletizing and distributing and shipping items, on an as-needed basis.

Locally, GSR serves as a member of the Big Country VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) which entails assisting residents of West Central Texas with planning, training, and preparing for disaster events. Some of our roles include partnering with the city Emergency Management Coordinator as a designated location for the construction and distribution of sandbags for potential floods and storing cots for emergency shelters.
