With the tragedy in Haiti at the forefront of our minds, we are reminded of the overwhelming impact the simplest supplies can make to those who are in desperate need for help. Global Samaritan Resources is collecting relief items until the end of February and ask for your help in making this effort possible. A donation drop off location has been set up for people wishing to donate the following items:
Highest priority items:
- New tents (any size. The larger the better.)
- New tarps (any size will work, buy 9x12 preferred.)
- Nylon rope
- Collapsible camp shovels
- Sleeping cots
- Mosquito Nets
We are creating Sanitization Kits and need the following supplies:
- Bar bath soap
- Personal size shampoo
- Personal size hand sanitizer
- Toothbrush & Toothpaste
- Hair Brush and/or Comb
- Wash cloths
We are also assembling some basic First Aid kits and need the following supplies:
- Gauze
- Medical Tape
- Cotton balls
- Adhesive bandages
- Alcohol wipes
- Beta dine
Items We CAN NOT Accept:
- Medications of any kind
- Food items
These items can be dropped off at the Global Samaritan Headquarters located at the intersection of Sayles Blvd. and N. 1st St. in Abilene, Texas. (2074 N. 1st St.) Donations can be dropped off anytime Monday thru Friday from 8am until 5pm.
